Laser tag and Covid-19

Current Public Health Order restrictions:

Structured extracurricular activities and programs for children or youth 21 years of age and younger can continue to operate with a COVID-19 Safety Plan in place. They must be supervised by an adult. These include:

  • Education programs
  • Music
  • Art
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Outdoor exercise
  • Recreational programs

Structured extracurricular activities and programs for children or youth are subject to a 50 person limit.

Stage 3

Now that we are entering Stage 3 we are able to resume normal operations with enhanced cleaning protocols and a ban on participants showing any signs of illness. The restrictions still in place will reduce the number of events we can do each day so please book in good time to avoid disappointment.
We are still offering the Lockdown Laser Tag option for those who are still uncomfortable with the idea of large group activities but still want to play laser tag.

Stage 2

The government is allowing the resumption of some recreational and sporting activities under Stage 2 of the Covid restrictions.

As per the government's briefing on Stage 2 restrictions I have looked at my operation with regard to the 5 main areas highlighted:

Personal hygiene; I will be wearing gloves at all times, and a face shield while in close proximity to players while handing out or collecting equipment. No special measures are required of the players except to maintain proper social distancing at all times.

Environmental hygiene; as an outdoor activity this isn't a concern, but we normally play in public spaces. At this stage I'm not sure other members of the public would appreciate that, so I will only be taking bookings if you can provide a private playing area. The equipment will be thoroughly cleaned after each use.

Physical modifications; I'm removing the target sensors and vests to facilitate easier cleaning of the equipment. This means there will only be the target on the tagger to shoot at.

Safe social interactions; I've always enforced a 2m gap between teams for safety to avoid collisions, this will now be extended to 2m from any other player, including during the instruction briefing. Group size will be capped at 12 individuals or 4 "family" groups that have been isolated together.

Staying home if sick; nobody who shows up ill will be allowed to play, you won't be penalised for rescheduling at short notice due illness.

I understand many people will be reluctant to organise birthday parties etc, so I will still be offering the Lockdown Laser Tag option which you can play with as few as 2 players in your own back yard.

You can search availability and provisionally book your date by clicking the buttons to the right, and I'll contact you to confirm everything. If a date or time doesn't show up it's because I'm already booked or the time available is too short for the event you're trying to book. Again, just give me a call, I'm far more flexible than the booking system.

Please note, actual start times may change pending confirmation of your booking to allow for travel between bookings.
